I signed up for the 15-day free trial and here is my experience :

Buildium's product is a pretty slick internet-based application which can be used to manage properties of any size. There are essentially 3 editions ; The landlord Edition for smaller operations where a landlord/manager can manage a few single-family rental houses or studio units, The Property boss Edition which is meant to manage multiple studio complexes, and The association Edition which is set up to facilitate management of condo associations.

The edition I previewed was The Landlord Edition. This package incorporates the following features :

* the ability to keep track of leases and tenant information
* the ability to manage upkeep tasks for your properties

In this situation , Buildium Property executive Edition would be perfect. Since the application is web based, there is not any need to setup and maintain the infrastructure necessary to maintain multiple links into a central location where the information are stored.

can you tell that I am a recovering network engineer?

For my private situation though, I store this information using a mixture of Excel spreadsheets and a full-blown accounting system ( not Quickbooks ), and while I do maintain sort of a modest info infrastructure, I believe that it's necessary because of the fact that I am living in central Florida on the east coast.

Two of those were direct hits on our area. Both times we lost power for at least 10 days and went without web connectivity for at least 2 weeks. For us to not have access to our accounting and tenant information for that length of time in a crisis situation such as this would be debilitating to say the least.

So, all in all, In my buildium review I think that Buildium has a great, well integrated product that could make life easier for many people.

Some great links
free-buildium-review

.

buildium-review

Lately, I was introduced to Buildium while searching for a method to accept electronic rent payments from my renters. In this situation , Buildium Property executive Edition would be perfect. Since the application is web based, there is not any need to setup and maintain the infrastructure critical to maintain multiple links into a central location where the information are stored. Instead, all that's obligatory at every location is a low-grade PC with web connectivity and Buildium's application does the rest.

are you able to tell that I'm a recovering network engineer?

For my personal situation though, I store this info using a combination of Excel spreadsheets and a full-blown accounting system ( not Quickbooks ), and while I do maintain somewhat of a modest information infrastructure, I believe that it's required due to the fact that I am living in central Florida on the east coast.

The point being that one or two years ago we had no less than 3 major hurricanes grace us with their presence. Two of those were direct hits on our area. For us to not have access to our accounting and renter information for that length of time in a crisis situation like this would've been devitalizing to say the least.
Also, so far as accepting electronic payments goes, which was the main goal, I'm nearly certain that to use this functionality, you have got to use the Buildium product. To paraphrase, you couldn't integrate the functionality straight into your own internet site with a product like PayPal.

Click above to start using their software today

.
